PTFE membranes from SSI have a long reputation for improving fouling resistance and the need for cleaning. Compared to standard EPDM membranes from leading manufacturers, these PTFE membranes can improve on these aspects by a factor of five to 10.

Industrial Aeration Diffuser Membranes

The SSI team developed and patented the PTFE membrane in 2004. It has seen over a decade of use in multiple industries across the world due to its enhanced performance over typical EPDM materials. This PTFE membrane includes two components:

  • EPDM substrate: Manufacturing begins with an EPDM membrane created with precision in mind. Using cutting-edge equipment, we form each membrane using compression molding and a standard cure. Vacuum technology and individual thermocouples ensure quality and consistency in production.
  • PTFE surface layer: After the production of the EPDM base, a PTFE coating is added. The PTFE protects the EPDM from chemicals while reducing surface fouling.

This patented design promotes quality, uniformity and cost-efficiency over time.
